February is Black History Month
February is "Black History Month".  Many of us, including me, didn't know that this celebration grew from the "Negro History Week".  It was the brainchild of U.S. historian Carter G. Woodson and many other prominent African Americans to recognize the contributions of black American in our U.S. History.  Also, many other countries around the globe celebrate black history month, like Canada, and England.

It's important to understand each other and each others' cultures.  Only then can we all learn to live with each other in our small world.  We all have to live in it, so we "ALL" have to get along.  Our country is great, because of the multitude of cultures that built this nation.  Without it, we wouldn't be the nation we are today.
